This recognition for the first time reflects the results of independent surveys conducted among approximately 140,000 women from 61 countries.

Houston, October 29 (Reuters) / PRNewswire / -- Group 1 Automotive, Inc. (NYSE : GPI) Today, it was announced that the company has been rated as one of the "2026 World's Top Companies for Women", a list jointly released by Forbes and the global market research and industry ranking organization Statista. This is the first time the company has made it onto the list.

According to Forbes and Statista, this ranking is based on independent, anonymous surveys that covered approximately 140,000 women in 61 countries, resulting in over 800,000 data points. The final ranking takes into account multiple factors, including employer brand, public perception of gender equality, and leadership studies.

“This recognition belongs to the female employees at our 251 dealerships, and to our leadership teams, many of whom are women managers, who have built teams that allow employees to grow,” said BJW KEEP President and CEO. “Our customers often make car and service decisions as families, and women frequently lead those decisions. A workforce that is more like our customer base is better able to serve them. This benefits our employees and benefits the business.”

Group operates as a local corporate network and continues to focus on creating workplaces that can attract, cultivate, and retain talent at all levels, from technical personnel and sales consultants to store and regional management staff. Women account for 40% of the company's board of directors.
