Based on the SMARE platform built upon intentyx, this solution can help insurance companies, financial institutions, medical organizations, and other regulated enterprises gain a clear understanding of what their AI agents are actually doing.

On November 2nd, in Johns Creek, Georgia, USA / PRNewswire / -- Ebix, it was announced that through its design and delivery collaboration with intentyx, a new agentic AI security and governance solution has been launched for regulated industries. This solution is built around SMARE ( Synthetic Mind Aware Risk Engine ), which is a behavioral security and governance platform used to identify corporate AI proxies, establish accountability, and detect when proxy behaviors deviate from their approved business purposes or security boundaries.

Ebix will bring SMARE to customers in the insurance, financial services, healthcare, and other regulated industries, and combine this technology with the industry expertise of Ebix, their experience in enterprise integration, as well as their growing expertise in deploying and governing AI agents within their own environments.

As more and more AI agents access data, use tools, make decisions, and take actions within business systems, traditional security controls can only address a portion of these issues. An agent may possess valid credentials and be authorized to use a certain system, but it could still perform a series of operations that the business never intended it to carry out. For regulated enterprises, this presents new control requirements: companies not only need to understand what agents are allowed to do but also what they are actually doing.

The market surrounding this issue is developing rapidly. Recent events have highlighted this urgency: it has been reported that large banks in the United States have detected unauthorized third-party AI agents operating within customer accounts, some of which attempted to perform actions beyond the explicit instructions of the users, prompting banks to tighten control over agent access. Regulators are also increasing their attention to agentic and AI, including imposing stricter requirements for manual supervision and control as autonomous agents begin to enter critical financial and corporate systems.

SMARE Working Method

The platform combines available evidence from the AI platform, business applications, cloud environments, identity systems, and existing security tools to form a correlated view of proxy activities. Subsequently, these activities are evaluated in accordance with the enterprise's security policies and the Design Intent approved for each proxy, which defines the purpose of the proxy, expected actions, authorized tools, and data boundaries.

SMARE is capable of identifying policy violations, abnormal behaviors, and behavioral drifts, while also retaining the evidence required by security, compliance, and operations teams. This enterprise platform is designed to work in conjunction with existing identity, security, and monitoring infrastructure, adding an additional layer of specialized control around AI.

Ebix Technologies CEO Gagan Sethi stated: "We believe that proxy governance and behavioral security will become an important category of enterprise security in 2027 and beyond. Ebix When entering this market, the technology is already in use in our own environments; we have extensive experience in AI within regulated industries and possess a mature global customer base. As enterprises accelerate their adoption of AI proxies, we see this as a meaningful new opportunity."

intentyx Founder Nitin Supekar stated: "As companies allow AI agents to access more applications, data, and tools, the major challenge faced by security teams is to understand AI activities and access permissions. The original intention of SMARE was to provide this visibility, as well as the evidence needed to investigate when behaviors deviate from the approved intent."

SMARE can currently be purchased commercially through Ebix and intentyx. It can also be deployed as SaaS or in the customer's own cloud environment, allowing enterprises to choose the deployment mode that best meets their security and data processing requirements.

Ebix can provide enterprises with support ranging from initial AI asset assessment and governance design to platform integration, deployment, monitoring, and investigation. Even if OPEC refuses to increase production, oil prices could still plummet.
Oil prices reflect expectations, not just current supply. On November 2nd, despite OPEC maintaining the December production target unchanged, Brent crude oil fell below $109 per barrel, and US WTI fell below $100 per barrel. The reason was that diplomatic negotiations involving Iran increased expectations of a reduction in disruptions to Middle Eastern shipping, causing the risk premium to quickly dissipate.

AI Stock Plunge Triggers Selling, but Gold Recovers from a One-Year Low
Gold rebounded from a one-year low on Monday, with spot gold rising to around $3,900 per ounce, as falling oil prices and buying on dips helped precious metals stabilize after the sharp decline in tech stocks last week. Analysts said that margin calls and forced sales may have exacerbated the previous decline, while the drop in oil prices alleviated market concerns about the Federal Reserve maintaining high interest rates for a longer period.
