New York, November 2nd / PRNewswire / -- Labor Intelligence Company TalentNeuron announced two updates today, both of which have been launched. The first is Monitoring, a new strategic labor planning feature that allows companies to continuously report on the progress of their labor planning efforts. The second is the launch of TalentNeuron on Snowflake Marketplace, enabling customers to directly and securely access labor market data from TalentNeuron within their own Snowflake environment.

Monitoring: Continuously track changes in FTE and costs.

Monitoring is now provided as part of the TalentNeuron strategic labor planning capability. It compares and tracks approved labor plans with real-time personnel and cost data. In the initial stages of implementation, it reports two key indicators: FTE, which is used to compare the actual number of employees with planned requirements; and cost, which is used to compare the actual labor costs with the planned labor costs.

Customers can upload monitoring data through the same process as for master data and name each import to track progress over time; they can also view the results on the Monitoring Summary and Monitoring Analytics pages.

Customers can now see whether the gap is being narrowed through the redeployment of existing talent or by additional recruitment. They can also identify areas where the number of employees or costs deviate from the plan and make adjustments before the next formal review. By combining planned data with actual labor force data, Monitoring provides a shared progress view for all parties, eliminating the need to manually verify figures from different sources. This helps to achieve continuous labor force planning and reporting, ensures that responsibilities are fulfilled within the organization, and highlights areas where performance has not met expectations.

TalentNeuron Logging into Snowflake Marketplace: Bringing labor market data into the environment already in use by the data team

Labor market data for TalentNeuron is now available on Snowflake Marketplace. Snowflake Marketplace is a store within the Snowflake platform, where businesses can discover, test, and purchase governed data products. Customers using Snowflake can access job postings, skills, competitors, locations, diversity, and taxonomy data from TalentNeuron in their own Snowflake environment through governed read-only sharing.

For customers, this means that external labor market data and internal labor data are placed in the same location. Customers can:

  • Use SQL to query TalentNeuron data, and connect it with one's own labor force, HR, and financial data, without the need to build or maintain a data ingestion pipeline.
  • Use the entire dataset of TalentNeuron in an environment identical to the internal data.
  • Automatically stays up-to-date as updates are directly streamed into the shared content.

This makes it faster to address labor issues that require an external perspective, such as how salaries compare to those in the external market, where certain skills can be obtained, or which companies are competing for the same talent.

This release responds to the current working methods of enterprise data teams. Most teams have standardized the use of a single cloud data platform, and traditionally, each new external data source meant having to download files, manage data flows, and set up and maintain another pipeline before anyone could use that data. By providing TalentNeuron data natively to Snowflake, this step is eliminated. Snowflake and TalentNeuron, along with the existing API and data feeds, now constitute delivery options, allowing customers to choose the most suitable channel based on their own environment and use cases.

TalentNeuron, the Senior Vice President of Products, Matt McGuire stated: "Our goal is to make customers' work easier and to enable them to quickly obtain the insights they need in order to influence decisions throughout the organization. Monitoring helps planners see the progress of their plans without the need to manually compile data, while Snowflake brings our labor market data into the environments that many customer teams are already using. In both cases, we want customers to spend less time obtaining insights and more time on how to apply those insights."

The Wall Street 'Panic Index' Shows Abnormal Behavior: What Does This Mean for the Stock Market?
Last Friday, U.S. stocks recorded their worst weekly performance since June, but many options market analysts noted that the reaction in the options market was unusually calm. Although VIX rose to a level not seen since April during trading, it fell back to 19.4 at the close. Analysts said that in the face of a nearly 2% decline in the S&P 500 on that day, the increase in VIX was relatively modest, and investors were not very active in buying protective put options on the Nasdaq and S&P 500.
