On Monday, in the revised Form S-1 document submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), financial data was updated to provide investors with a more comprehensive understanding of its business situation.
The artificial intelligence company stated that its revenue for the first nine months ending September 30 was $33.24 billion, an increase of about 1200% compared to the same period last year. During the same period, the company incurred a net loss of $104 billion, although most of this came from changes in the fair value of convertible notes and derivative liabilities. The loss for the same period in 2025 was $25.1 billion. Anthropic
Anthropic disclosed a highly anticipated prospectus last week, bringing the company one step closer to what could be a historically significant IPO. The initial filing only contained financial data up to the first half of the year.
In the third quarter, Anthropic achieved revenue of approximately $17 billion. The company disclosed that its net loss for that quarter was $23.29 billion.
This five-year-old company is best known for developing a series of AI models named Claude. Its products and services are mainly targeted at corporate clients. Anthropic is a capital-intensive enterprise, mainly due to the complex infrastructure and hardware required for training and operating large models.
In the revised version S-1, Anthropic indicates that the company has signed procurement commitments and lease agreements, with a total committed expenditure of approximately 89.54 billion US dollars, "of which the vast majority is related to computing power and infrastructure."
