Grand Junction, Colorado, November 2, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- RideLot Technologies Today, we announce the launch of our inventory intelligence platform, specifically designed for powersports and specialty vehicle dealers.
RideLot indicates that the company created this platform to solve a simple problem that distributors often face: distributors may have inventory in stock or have the capability to order a certain machine for customers, but it is still difficult for consumers to find that machine.
This platform is built internally by powersports. It connects to inventory data that has been sent by distributors from their DMS or data source providers. RideLot standardizes this inventory data and converts each item into records that can be used for shoppers' searches, distributor websites, branded storefronts, market distribution, marketing, distributor intelligence, and tools for distributors.
Dealers can continue to use the existing websites, DMS, CRM, telephone numbers, lead distribution, and technical suppliers.
RideLot can work in parallel with these systems.
RideLot Technologies, the founder and CEO, stated: "Dealers don't need another system that requires them to replace everything they currently have. Inventory data already exists. RideLot We aim to make this inventory data more useful. We help customers find the dealers' existing stock, assist them in discovering products they can order, help dealers understand their needs, support team marketing efforts related to inventory, and enable the same inventory records to serve multiple purposes."
RideLot was co-founded by Wells and Nick Citrola. It is based on the philosophy of "dealers first": technology is developed around the inventory and work processes that dealers already have, rather than forcing retailers to switch to another alternative system.
Search according to the customer's actual shopping method.
The core of the platform is RideSpec, which is the natural language inventory discovery technology of RideLot.
It doesn't require shoppers to know the exact year, brand, or model; instead, it allows them to search in the way they usually speak.
Shoppers can search for:
- "Can seat six people: side, by, side"
- "Four-wheeled vehicle for children"
- “Second-hand motorcycles under $10,000”
- "side, by, side with a cockpit and heated air"
RideSpec understands the needs of shoppers, searches for dealer inventory, and returns relevant machines, while also explaining why each machine matches the requirements.
RideSpec also supports natural language inventory discovery in English and Spanish.
The same technology can also be directly installed into dealers' existing websites through RideLot Inventory Finder, allowing dealers to experience a significantly different inventory search experience without having to change their current website service providers.
Search for spot goods, as well as inventory that can be ordered.
One of the design goals of RideLot is to help dealers not only display the goods on display in the exhibition hall but also showcase more inventory.
Through Available to Order, the supported vehicle models can appear in the same RideLot shopping experience along with the current inventory of dealers.
This means that shoppers searching for a particular machine may see:
- Actual spot
- Relevant inventory of another authorized store
- Supported vehicle models available for dealers to order
RideLot will clearly distinguish between Available, to, Order inventory and actual spot goods.
The goal is very simple: rather than telling customers that there are “no results” because there are no exactly identical machines available in the exhibition hall at the moment, RideLot can help shoppers understand what the dealers may still have to sell them.
For multi-store distributor groups, RideLot can also connect the authorized inventory between different stores. If a shopper cannot find the desired machine in one store, they can be directed to the relevant inventory at another store.
A set of inventory data, more usage methods
RideLot Storefront provides a branded inventory shopping experience, built on data that has already been sent by distributors, including RideSpec search, in-stock inventory, Available, to, Order, categorization, brands, and multi-store inventory.
RideLot Inventory Finder will be directly integrated into the existing websites of distributors by the inventory discovery feature driven by RideSpec.
RideLot SEO Inventory Pages will automatically generate RideLot inventory pages that can be read by search engines based on real-time stock levels. These pages display inventory by category, brand, and individual machine, thereby providing search engines with more content related to inventory information.
RideLot Visibility Helps distributors identify important search pages, inventory pages that require attention, as well as opportunities where inventory exists but may still be difficult to discover.
RideLot Dealer Intelligence will show what shoppers have searched for, which searches did not match inventory, which machines had less interaction, and which inventory led to customer behavior.
RideLot Feed Health can identify missing or incomplete information in inventory data, including pricing, photos, and other display information, and inform the dealer team which devices need to be addressed.
RideLot Marketing Studio utilizes actual machine photos, prices, and inventory information to convert real-time inventory records into materials that can be directly used for distributor marketing.
RideLot Dealer Transfer Allows participating dealers to search for the inventory of other participating dealers, ranging from nearby markets to a national scale, and to request machines held by another dealer.
RideLot Marketplace Listings Utilize the existing inventory data of distributors to prepare a Facebook Marketplace list for sales personnel, for their review and subsequent publication through their own Facebook accounts.
A single Facebook Marketplace post can be prepared in less than 30 seconds, using inventory data that has already been updated through the RideLot process, eliminating the need for sales staff to manually re-create the list.
Subsequently, RideLot will also continue to monitor changes in dealer inventory data, such as sold vehicles and price updates.
RideLot Showroom utilizes interactive self-service terminals to bring the same inventory discovery technology to the exhibition hall floor, and supports RideSpec search as well as bilingual voice interaction.
Distributor tools built around inventory records
RideLot also provides monitoring and recording products for use solely by distributors, which are built around real-time inventory management.
RideLot MAP Policy Checker will compare the inventory that meets the criteria with the OEM MAP information loaded on the platform, and will highlight any potential advertising pricing issues for dealers to review.
RideLot Recalls Reads the applicable public CPSC and NHTSA recall notices daily, and compares them with the real-time inventory corresponding to the brand, model, and vehicle year. If a match is found, the system will display Possible Recall to the dealer, for further verification through VIN within the OEM dealer system. RideLot does not determine the recall status of VIN levels.
RideLot Price Record will maintain the historical advertising prices recorded or displayed by RideLot, helping dealers to retain evidence of price displays and their change times.
The platform is built around one concept:
Inventory records should continue to play a role wherever dealers need them.
Price transparency is receiving increasing attention. RideLot retains historical records.
The transparency of vehicle pricing and advertising practices are attracting increasing regulatory attention.
In September 2026, staff from the Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ) issued guidelines for pricing in the automotive industry, reiterating that the prices of vehicles advertised should reflect the actual prices that consumers can afford, including mandatory fees imposed by dealers in addition to government-mandated charges.
California's "Automobile Retail Fraud Act" ( Combating Auto Retail Scams Act, referred to as CARS Act) came into effect on October 1, 2026, for covered California dealers and vehicle transactions involving such dealers. In addition to other requirements, the law addresses the disclosure of total prices and mandates that covered dealers retain certain advertising, pricing, and related records for a period of two years.
RideLot Price Record is not legal advice; it does not determine whether distributors are compliant, nor can it replace the legal or regulatory reviews conducted by the distributors themselves.
On the contrary, what Price Record addresses is a direct operational issue:
If someone asks about the price advertised a few months later, does the dealer still retain that record?
Inventory systems usually only focus on the current price.
Online advertisements change, the Marketplace list changes, inventory pages disappear after vehicles are sold, employees leave their jobs, and screenshots are also lost.
Price Record will retain the advertising price history recorded or displayed by RideLot, allowing authorized dealership personnel to refer to a permanent record in the future.
Wells means: “Price Record does not inform distributors whether they comply with a certain law. What it provides is something more fundamental, yet often lacking: RideLot the content that has been recorded or displayed, as well as the timestamp history from that time.”
The promotion includes 12 months of Price Record and Marketplace Listings.
Eligible distributors can use RideLot Marketplace starting from $0 per month.
During the initial promotional period of RideLot, eligible Marketplace and Dealer Suite accounts can receive:
- Contains RideLot Price Record for 12 months
- Dealers can immediately start retaining advertising price history without incurring an additional software fee in the first year.
- Contains RideLot Marketplace Listings for 12 months
- Eligible distributors can also obtain up to three Marketplace Listings seats during the 12-month release period.
Sales personnel can retrieve actual vehicles from the dealers' inventory and, using photos, prices, and vehicle information that have been validated through RideLot, prepare a Facebook Marketplace list in less than 30 seconds.
After review by the sales staff, it is published through their own Facebook account. Subsequently, RideLot will continue to monitor changes in inventory data, such as sold vehicles and price updates.
The initial launch pricing also includes a setup fee of $0.
RideLot Subscription is billed on a monthly basis, with no requirement for long-term subscription. Distributors can cancel it according to the terms displayed in their RideLot account.
Wells means: "For distributors, we believe that this promotional offer makes it almost irresistible not to register today. You can start using RideLot Marketplace for free, get Price Record for 12 months, and access the Facebook Marketplace workflow for 12 months as well. This way, you can let the platform prove its value before making any larger commitments."
Built for integration, not as a replacement
The original intention of RideLot was to serve as an integration layer, rather than another set of dealer record systems.
Dealers may continue to use the existing DMS, CRM, websites, website service providers, inventory data providers, telephone numbers, and existing lead allocation methods.
RideLot connects to the inventory data that flows within that ecosystem and adds functionality around it.
Wells means: "We build RideLot starting from the dealer showrooms. Each product originates from a real dealer problem. Can customers find this machine? What are shoppers looking for? What is missing from our data sources? Can another store sell it? Is there any inventory available for ordering? We hope that inventory management can answer more of these questions without requiring dealers to start over from scratch."
For distributors and a more interconnected powersports industry
Although RideLot was initially designed around the workflow of distributors, the company believes that there are greater opportunities in connecting distributors, distributor groups, manufacturers, and technical partners around the same inventory data.
The combination of natural language shopping queries, real-time dealer inventory information, multi-store availability, products available for ordering from factories, search visibility, price records, marketing distribution, and dealer intelligence creates opportunities to understand "what inventory is available" as well as "what customers are truly looking for."
RideLot is continuing to expand its dealer network and collaborate with industry partners as the platform grows.

RideLot is aimed at powersports and other specialty vehicle retailers, with the intention of integrating parallel to the technologies already in use by dealers, rather than requiring them to replace their existing systems.
The company's philosophy is very simple:
