The most pressing challenges in the industry are driving the expansion of the summit's scope and creating new opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Atlanta, November 3, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- A leading industry event for professionals in power transmission and distribution DTECH ® today announced that it will launch two new executive-oriented summits for the first time during DTECH ® 2027 to be held in Atlanta: the Data Center Leadership Summit ( Data Center Leadership Summit ) and the Wildfire and Resilience Strategy Summit ( Wildfire & Resiliency Strategy Summit ).

These two new summits are built on the successful experience of the existing two events DTECH ®, and at the same time, they incorporate the respective communities directly into this large-scale industry gathering involving leaders in the fields of utilities, technology, infrastructure, and energy. The independently organized events DTECH ® Data Centers & AI will be upgraded to the Data Center Leadership Summit; the original events DTECH ® Reliability & Resiliency will be renamed the Wildfire and Resilience Strategy Summit. Both summits will be held on March 4, 2027 (Thursday), as part of the official summit agenda of DTECH ®. Participants can opt to attend by purchasing an additional pass on top of their registration.

As power utilities face unprecedented challenges, including the explosive growth of data centers, the expansion of artificial intelligence applications, extreme weather events, and increasingly high requirements for reliability, industry leaders need more collaboration platforms to develop solutions. DTECH ® states that by integrating these communities into DTECH ®, participants will gain broader expertise, more opportunities for communication, and greater visibility into the technologies and partnerships that will shape the future power grid.

Data Center Leadership Summit

The Data Center Leadership Summit will bring together leaders from utilities, energy, data centers, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, investment institutions, technology providers, and government organizations to discuss a key challenge in the modern economy: how to power the next generation of data centers, enable their expansion, and enhance their capabilities.

This summit will be designed as a communication platform for executives, with a full-day agenda featuring strategic discussions, executive meetings, social activities, and technical sessions. Topics to be covered include high-load grid integration, grid reliability and resilience, investment trends, community engagement, emerging technologies, and the future of digital infrastructure.

DTECH ® indicates that this adjustment reflects the deepening integration among utilities, technology companies, developers, and investors as artificial intelligence-driven demands reshape the energy market and power grid planning. Incorporating this summit into DTECH ® will create a platform for these stakeholders to communicate, collaborate, and jointly develop solutions.

Wildfire and Resilience Strategy Summit

The Wildfire and Resilience Strategy Summit will bring together utility executives, emergency preparedness officials, grid operation professionals, reliability experts, technology suppliers, consultants, and public sector stakeholders to focus on discussing how to strengthen utility resilience strategies.

The summit was previously held as an independent event focused on reliability and resilience. DTECH ® indicates that the summit will maintain its highly focused community, while also creating new opportunities to interact with a broader DTECH ® audience. The agenda will cover topics such as wildfire mitigation, extreme weather preparedness, situational awareness, emergency response, infrastructure reinforcement, operational readiness, and long-term resilience planning.

Why the Adjustment

DTECH ® indicates that the energy industry is undergoing an unprecedented transformation. The rapid expansion of artificial intelligence and data center infrastructure is driving historic increases in demand, while at the same time, utilities are also facing increased risks from wildfires, extreme weather, and other reliability challenges. Addressing these issues requires cross-organizational, cross-industry, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

By incorporating these two activities into the DTECH ® overall experience, participants can not only engage in highly focused summit discussions but also benefit from the broader agenda, exhibitions, technical demonstrations, and industry community resources of DTECH ®.

DTECH ® Executive Vice President of Energy Business, Wayne Bishop, stated: "Today, the challenges our industry faces are greater than ever before, more closely interconnected, and have a more profound impact. The future of data centers, artificial intelligence, grid reliability, resilience, and infrastructure investments cannot be addressed in isolation. By bringing these communities together under the DTECH ® platform, we are creating stronger opportunities for collaboration, accelerating innovation, and ensuring that leaders across the entire energy ecosystem can participate in the discussions that will shape the future of the industry."

Summit Agenda

Both summits will be held in Atlanta on March 4, 2027 (Thursday), from 9:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., as part of the DTECH ® 2027 event series.

The Data Center Leadership Summit will feature a full-day agenda for executives and technicians, including thematic discussions, industry panel forums, social networking sessions, technology-focused presentations, as well as strategic dialogues centered on data center growth and power grid modernization.

The Wildfire and Resilience Strategy Summit will provide a compact agenda covering executive perspectives, utility case studies, technical discussions, and opportunities for peer exchange, with a focus on helping utilities to prepare for and respond to the ever-evolving risks of reliability and resilience today.
