New York, November 5, 2026 ( GLOBE NEWSWIRE ) – Global Data and AI Corporation EXL ( NASDAQ : EXLS ) announced today that it has acquired Aimpoint Digital. The latter is a data and AI consulting and platform engineering company, renowned for building enterprise data and AI platforms, and possesses deep expertise within leading partner ecosystems in Anthropic, Databricks, and Snowflake markets. EXL stated that this acquisition enhances its ability to support customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their AI transformation and also deepens the existing relationships with key technology partners. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Enterprises are making significant investments in AI, but many organizations still face challenges in moving AI projects from pilot phases to a production-scale implementation that can create value. Aimpoint Digital has established a reputation for quickly migrating customer workloads to leading data and AI platforms. EXL indicates that by integrating Aimpoint Digital, the two companies will extend this advantage to more workflows and functions, enhance AI's business impact throughout the enterprise, and broaden EXL's service capabilities for enterprise-wide transformation.
EXL Chairman and CEO Rohit Kapoor stated: "What customers need is a partner who can guide them from the AI vision to the actual impact of enterprise scale. The strategists and engineers deployed on the front lines by Aimpoint Digital bring practical expertise in transforming AI strategies into reality, and they do so on the platforms that customers trust the most. By combining their consulting and engineering talents with EXL's data foundation, industry expertise, agent-based AI solutions, and operational scale, we can reinvent workflows and provide customers with a single, accountable partner throughout the entire journey from strategy and architecture to deployment and AI operations management."
Aimpoint Digital CEO and Co-Founder Ben Yopp stated: "Joining EXL allows us to carry out more groundbreaking work on a much larger scale. We bring deep AI strategic and engineering expertise, while EXL brings industry expertise, global reach, and the capability to operate AI in our operations. Together, we can advance our customers' most important AI projects to a production environment and ensure they continue to perform at the highest level."
EXL and Aimpoint Digital indicate that we will provide customers with a stronger continuity from the initial strategic discussions to architecture, engineering, production deployment, and managed operations. This integrated approach is aimed at reducing handover points, establishing clearer lines of responsibility, and accelerating the path to achieving measurable results.
In a market environment where the demand for strategic data and AI project requirements exceeds the supply of available talent, this integration will add approximately 250 experienced AI engineers, platform architects, analysis consultants, decision scientists, and AI strategists to EXL's data team and AI's capabilities. EXL stated that this will expand its frontline deployment talent base, bring senior AI expertise closer to client teams, and enhance the ability to support complex, multi-year transformation projects.
Aimpoint Digital also brings extensive experience in collaborating with strategic partners, expanding EXL's presence within the partner ecosystem and deepening its expertise with partners such as Anthropic, Databricks, and Snowflake. EXL states that this will help customers reshape their core workflows on platforms they trust and enable them to move more quickly into the production phase.
This acquisition is built upon EXL's recent acquisition of iMerit. iMerit is a global leader in the fields of AI model training, evaluation, and reinforcement learning. EXL indicates that iMerit and Aimpoint Digital have jointly expanded their capabilities to support customers from strategy and architecture to engineering, deployment, and hosting of AI operations, reflecting EXL's prudent strategy of enhancing its data and AI capabilities through innovative investments, acquisitions, and talent expansion.
