According to CoinMeta, Ripple's Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty lobbied senators to push the Clarity bill through in the procedural vote on September 15. Ripple data shows that the United States has 67 million cryptocurrency holders, and the related industry provides 232,000 jobs and generates 55 billion dollars in economic activity. The Clarity bill aims to establish a federal regulatory framework for digital assets, assigning the regulatory authority over spot markets for digital commodities to CFTC.
