Bank of America completes real-time cross-border payments on the Stellar blockchain

According to CoinMeta, Bank of America (U.S. Bank), the fifth largest commercial bank in the United States, announced that it has used its US dollar-stabilized coin USBDC on the Stellar blockchain to complete a real-time cross-border payment between banking entities in North America and Europe. This test covered the issuance, redemption, freezing, and recovery of USBDC, and verified the bank's self-developed digital asset platform. Bank of America stated that it is exploring the use of USBDC for cross-border fund management, liquidity management, and collateral transfer, but has not yet announced a timeline for launching it to customers or commercialization.
