According to CoinMeta, Consensys announced the separation of its MetaMask business into an independent entity, with Joe Lubin taking on the role of CEO. The remaining business of the original company will be incorporated into the new entity, which will continue to use the name Consensys, with Mike Kriak serving as CEO and Joe Lubin also acting as the executive chairman. Joe Lubin stated that the separation was due to the faster growth value of the consumer-side business compared to other sectors. MetaMask recently launched Master Account functionality, which supports multiple asset holdings and MasterCard consumption, and also provides perpetual futures and predictive market services. Consensys has not responded to IPO or the token issuance plan.
