According to Moody's estimates, U.S. data centers may require approximately $110 billion in investment to increase power capacity by 45 gigawatts, of which over 30 gigawatts could come from natural gas, which would necessitate an additional 4 billion cubic feet of natural gas supply per day. The International Energy Agency predicts that global data center electricity consumption will reach 950 terawatt-hours by 2030, nearly double the level of 2025.
