According to CoinMeta, on-chain data shows that on May 19th, six wallets holding the founder shares world, liberty, financial, and WLFI transferred a total of 30 billion WLFI tokens to a new unlocking contract and destroyed 10% of those tokens according to the rules. The largest wallet had 14.175 billion WLFI tokens remaining after destruction, which is consistent with the amount of WLFI "founder allocation" shares held by Trump in his family-related companies world, liberty, and financial. At current prices, this is valued at approximately $800 million. This mechanism was previously approved through governance voting, changing the originally indefinitely locked founder tokens to a two-year lock-up period followed by a three-year ownership period. This means that holders who did not participate in this mechanism will continue to have their tokens locked indefinitely, starting from no later than 2028.
