According to CoinMeta and reports from Wall Street Journal, on Wednesday (September 16th), at the close of trading in New York, the euro fell by 0.63% against the US dollar, hitting a new daily low of 1.1463. Since the Federal Reserve announced a rate hike and revealed its dot plot at 02:00 Beijing time, the euro has seen a significant decline, breaking the previous narrow range of high-level fluctuations that had persisted earlier in the day. The pound fell by 0.70% against the US dollar, reaching a new daily low of 1.3372. The US dollar rose by 0.73% against the Swiss franc, to 0.8257. Among commodity currencies, the Australian dollar fell by 0.64% against the US dollar, the New Zealand dollar fell by 0.8%, and the US dollar rose by 0.50% against the Canadian dollar. The Swedish krona fell by 0.83% against the US dollar, the Norwegian krone fell by 0.92%, and the Danish krone fell by 0.63%. The Polish zloty fell by 1.15% against the US dollar, while the US dollar rose by 0.73% against the Hungarian forint. The Turkish lira fell by 0.07% against the US dollar; at the beginning of trading in the Asia-Pacific region, it dropped significantly to 48.6679 lira at 07:47, and then continued to fluctuate within a narrow range at lower levels. The South African rand fell by 0.76% against the US dollar, the Mexican peso fell by 0.6%, and the Brazilian real rose by 0.04% against the US dollar.
