This platform is designed to fill the governance gap in the deployment of persistent AI proxies by enterprise IT teams, providing features such as authentication, audit tracking, and workload isolation. OpenClaw Enterprise announced on September 29, 2026, that it is the first major open-source, vendor-neutral platform that allows enterprises to manage persistent proxies. The platform has obtained MIT licensing, supports self-hosting, and is considered the Kubernetes for proxies. OpenAI initially initiated this project internally and then donated it to an independent OpenClaw foundation. Red Hat, as a founding member, contributes its engineering expertise in areas such as Linux and Kubernetes. At the core of the platform is the OpenClaw control plane, which provides proxy deployment and lifecycle management, with features such as multi-tenancy, hard security boundaries, and fine-grained permissions.
