The agency plans to issue binding formal requests to these tech giants, ordering them to submit relevant information. Andrew Ferguson, the chairman of the FTC, initiated this investigation before the "GPT-3 incident," focusing on "unfair or deceptive acts or practices" that may violate federal laws.
