ostium Announces a Two-Phase Recovery Plan to Compensate Damaged Wallets

According to CoinMeta, ostium has released a two-phase recovery plan for the 3,666 affected wallets that were damaged in the attack on the liquidity wallet on July 15th, and has opened a claims portal. In the first phase, 3,321 wallets with losses not exceeding $1,000 will be fully compensated, which accounts for 90.6% of the affected wallets, with a total amount of about $3.32 million. The remaining 345 wallets with losses exceeding $1,000 can choose to receive $1,000 or share in the funds from the second phase proportionally. ostium indicates that the second phase will be funded by the recovered funds from the attackers, protocol revenues, and other potential earnings. To date, the platform has recovered approximately 649,967 USDC, which only accounts for 2.7% of the total loss of $23.8 million. In addition, the price of OLP has dropped from $1.10 before the attack to about $0.337 USDC, a decrease of about 69.3%.
