The United States releases another 40 million barrels of oil, with strategic reserves dropping to a 1982 low

CoinMeta data: It is reported that the U.S. Department of Energy has announced that it will release another 40 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserves ( SPR ) as reserves have dropped to their lowest level in 44 years. Last week, SPR held only 283.8 million barrels, the lowest level since October 1982. The price of Brent crude oil remains at around $103.19 per barrel, while WTI crude oil is around $90.57 per barrel. This release is in response to supply disruptions caused by the Iran conflict, and borrowing companies are required to return the oil before 2028. This move may exacerbate inflationary pressures and affect Federal Reserve policy.
