According to CoinMeta, base has completed the cobalt upgrade, adding conditional transactions and issuer control tools for tokenized assets. This upgrade expands the b20 token standards, allowing issuers to set up compliance checks such as authentication, qualified investor qualifications, and sanctions list screenings. Issuers can also preset adjustments to company actions like stock splits, and authorize administrators to transfer tokens under specific circumstances. cobalt has added validity and transactions; users can set on-chain conditions for transaction submissions, which remain private before being included in blocks. base was enabled on July 8th with b20 as the homogenized token standard. On August 25th, coinbase tokens representing stocks from Apple, NVIDIA, meta, and alphabet were issued on base.
