CFTC rules that FundsZ shall compensate $31 million in a fraud case

CoinMeta data: A U.S. federal court ruled that the operators of FundsZ, Brian Early and Alisha Ann Kingrey, are required to pay $31 million in compensation and fines for digital asset and precious metal fraud. The case stemmed from a lawsuit filed by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) against FundsZ. The court found that the two individuals made serious false statements regarding investment returns and risk levels. According to FBI data, there were 181,565 reports of cryptocurrency-related fraud in 2025, resulting in losses exceeding $11 billion.
