CoinMeta data: A survey by the Bank of Japan shows that businesses expect consumer prices to rise by an average of 2.6% in the coming year, down 0.1 percentage points from their expectations three months ago. The survey also indicates that businesses anticipate consumer prices to rise by an average of 2.6% per year over the next three years and 2.5% per year over the next five years. Since March 2014, the Bank of Japan has included a survey on business price expectations in its “short-term outlook” surveys to obtain more information on inflation expectations, which are an important reference for its current monetary easing policy.
