Morgan Stanley: Three Biotechnology Breakthroughs Present Investment Opportunities
2026-10-01 12:34:27
According to CoinMeta, Morgan Stanley points out three biotechnology breakthroughs that could bring returns to investors, including Alzheimer's drugs, gene editing, and artificial intelligence ( AI ). The research published by analysts Sean Laaman and Maxwell Skor coincides with the bank's annual global healthcare conference held in New York. Morgan Stanley's report indicates that the Alzheimer's drug market is worth $70 billion, and delaying entry into nursing homes by 12 to 18 months could create several times the value of the listing price for U.S. healthcare. The report also predicts that by 2035, the in-body gene editing market will reach $10 billion. Morgan Stanley favors AI suppliers over drug developers, believing that AI can reduce drug discovery time from about 4.5 years to 1.5 years, while also lowering R&D costs by 25% to 60%.
