CoinMeta data: The euro exchange rate against the US dollar fell to a 16-month low, and with expectations of interest rate hikes in the United States remaining high, the euro continued its recent downward trend. Chris Turner from ING Group stated in a report that yesterday's release of US personal consumption expenditure ( PCE ) inflation data for August fell short of expectations, but it barely managed to weaken market expectations for the Federal Reserve to tighten policy, possibly due to continued positive economic activity data in the US. He noted that consumer spending data remained strong, and the ADP private sector employment report released on Wednesday showed signs of further accelerated employment growth.
