According to CoinMeta, Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that on October 1st at 17:10 (Beijing time 16:10), Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi had a 20-minute telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif. Motegi expressed that Japan is always committed to promoting the early de-escalation and stabilization of the situation and seeking a diplomatic solution. He reiterated the importance of international discussions regarding the restoration of free and safe navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the Strait of Mandeb, as well as the future of the Strait of Hormuz, and strongly urged Iran to take constructive actions. Zarif explained the current communication with the United States and Iran's position. Both foreign ministers confirmed that they will continue to maintain close communication in order to resolve the issue through diplomatic means.
