According to CoinMeta, as reported by Fortune, Apple's history is often described as a series of groundbreaking devices, among which the most successful one – iPhone – remains a powerful driving force for the company, expected to account for about half of sales in 2025. Over the past 50 years, Apple has not only attracted the public with its innovative product designs but has also built a business empire that hardly existed 15 years ago, now encompassing the App Store, iCloud, music, television, payments, advertising, and more, which are expected to account for over a quarter of this year's revenue. Data shows that Apple has truly gone global, with the United States contributing 36% of sales, followed closely by Europe at 27%, while the rest of the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region account for another third. Meanwhile, Apple's number of stores has exceeded 500, with non-U.S. stores driving most of this expansion. Financially, Apple's rise has been extraordinary: annual profits have grown from approximately $2 billion in 2006 to $112 billion in 2025. Finally, investors who failed to invest in Apple early on may feel regretful: a $10,000 investment at the time of its initial public offering in 1980 would have grown to $40.5 million by mid-2026.
