China and Russia tighten fuel supply: Will Bitcoin be affected?
2026-10-02 06:16:56
According to CoinMeta, China has requested refineries to stop fuel exports in October, and Russia has also extended the diesel export ban for 30 days. Due to the war between the United States and Iran, global crude oil supply is already tight, which could lead to severe economic difficulties. A reduction in fuel supply means higher inflation and consumer prices, thus providing more justification for the Federal Reserve of the United States to raise interest rates on October 28. China's suspension of fuel exports came after a request made during Trump's recent visit to Washington, where Trump asked for China's help in stabilizing the global fuel supply. Currently, refineries have not been approved to transport fuel to locations other than Hong Kong and Macau. PetroChina has canceled several batches of shipments for October.
