Joseph Lubin: Infrastructure security incidents did not affect MetaMask wallets and user funds
2026-10-03 08:23:27
According to CoinMeta, Consensys founder Joseph Lubin stated that the team recently dealt with some infrastructure security incidents. Investigations have shown that MetaMask wallets and user funds were not affected, and the mnemonic phrases, private keys, and assets are all secure. The team and partners have rotated the validator keys, and Ethereum’s staking architecture ensures that withdrawal keys are separated from proposal and proof keys. Issues with the validator infrastructure will not lead to abnormal transfers of ETH assets.
