Visa Stablecoin-linked card project payment volume increases by nearly 200% year-on-year

CoinMeta Data: The payment volume associated with stablecoins has increased by nearly 200% year-on-year, and currently supports over 160 consumer, corporate, and business card projects. As of the fiscal year 2026, approximately 17% of the transaction volume related to stablecoins comes from corporate and business card projects. Mark Nelsen, the head of global products, business, and capital flow solutions, stated that companies are seeking reliable methods of fund transfer, and stablecoins are increasingly being used in commercial applications such as supplier payments, financial operations, and cross-border business. Payments represent the fastest-growing use case for stablecoins, with an estimated annual payment volume of $401 billion to $527 billion. Of this, service fees, salaries, and supplier payments account for $56 billion, $43 billion, and $28 billion, respectively. B2B Cross-border payments account for 43%.
