Circle suggests that the EU revise MICA legislation to abolish the reserve requirements for stablecoin bank deposits

According to CoinMeta, Circle submitted a proposal to the European Commission, advocating for the establishment of a recognition mechanism for overseas stablecoins and calling for the abolition of the requirement that digital currency token issuers deposit 30% or 60% of their reserve assets with commercial banks, in order to reduce credit risks for the banking sector as well as counterparty risks.
