2026-10-03 23:58:18
CoinMeta data: Polygon announced that its stablecoin trading volume has reached $3 trillion in the past 21 months, with 55% of this trading volume coming in since January 2025. In 2025, Polygon processed $933 billion in trading volume, a significant increase from $276 billion in 2024, and another $741 billion has been added so far in 2026. The growth of Polygon is closely related to its transformation towards payment infrastructure, with several major payment companies such as Revolut, Mastercard, and PayPal USD having begun using this network. Polygon is also continuously enhancing its payment capabilities; a recent upgrade has increased the network capacity to 5,000 transactions per second, while also introducing zero-knowledge technology to protect transaction privacy.
