According to CoinMeta, OKX has submitted an application to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), planning to launch a tokenized stock trading platform and become one of the first major cryptocurrency exchanges to utilize new U.S. regulations that allow the digitalization of company stocks to be traded on crypto platforms. The joint venture OKX ICE LLC established by OKX and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, plans to apply as well. Under the new framework outlined by SEC, relevant issuers have 30 days to opt out before tokenized stock trading can commence.
