Ethereum staking waiting time reaches 25 days, nearly 1.5 million ETH in queue

CoinMeta data: The waiting time for staking on Ethereum has reached 25 days, with approximately 1.5 million ETH coins currently in line waiting to be withdrawn. Due to a security incident disclosed by MetaMask last week, which led to the withdrawal of validators, the queue for Ethereum staking has more than quintupled within three days, resulting in the longest waiting time since 2026. On September 29th, there were about 166,000 ETH coins waiting to be withdrawn, and by October 2nd, this number had risen to around 851,000 ETH coins, accounting for about 2% of the 43.6 million ETH coins that are staked. As of Monday, there are still about 786,000 ETH coins waiting to be withdrawn, valued at over $2 billion, with an estimated waiting time of nearly 14 days. Staking allows holders to earn rewards by submitting ETH to validators. The network limits the speed at which validators can join or leave to prevent sudden changes in security.
