Trump: The United States' leading position in the field of artificial intelligence is being weakened by China

According to CoinMeta, Bloomberg Intelligence estimates that the score gap between China and other countries in artificial intelligence benchmark tests has narrowed to 3%. The v4.1 model from DeepSeek was launched in September, bringing this gap down to its lowest level ever. Trump mentioned this gap last month when he rejected calls to slow down the development of artificial intelligence, claiming that China was the only party happy with such opposition. The model from DeepSeek ranks sixth globally with a score of 81.1, close to the 83.4 of the best model from Anthropic. Nevertheless, only three of the top 15 models are made in China. The report points out that deep expertise and models optimized for domestic hardware are the reasons for China's progress. Trump also stated that communities opposed to artificial intelligence data centers would ultimately fall behind and become poor, and announced the establishment of an artificial intelligence working group, pledging not to slow down the development of this industry.
