Bitcoin remains at $86,000; the US dollar strengthens and European risks increase.

CoinMeta data: Bitcoin is currently holding at $86,000, despite a stronger U.S. dollar and increased risks in Europe. The U.S. Dollar Index ( DXY ) reached around 102.5 on Monday, hitting its highest level in nearly 18 months. A stronger U.S. dollar usually puts pressure on risky assets, increases the cost of debt denominated in dollars, and reduces the purchasing power of overseas investors. The Federal Reserve's decision in September to raise interest rates by 25 basis points to 3.75% to 4% also supported the strength of the dollar. Despite these challenges, Bitcoin still performed strongly at the beginning of October.
