According to CoinMeta, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, has submitted an application to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to tokenize 63 well-known U.S. stocks on its exchange, including those of NVIDIA, Tesla, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, JPMorgan Chase, Walmart, Coca-Cola, Cisco, and McDonald's, among others. The application was filed on October 5, 2026, marking the first compliant tokenized stock trading venue in the United States to operate under a clear federal exemption. The project was jointly announced by ICE and OKX, which established a 50/50 joint venture called OKXICE. It is expected that this venture will provide 24/7 trading for the tokenized stocks.
