The study found that between July and August 2026, out of 6.4 million recorded payments, over 90% of the payment amounts were less than one cent. The most commonly used payment resource was the cryptocurrency security assessments generated by AI, which charged two cents per request. Solana accounted for 99.2% of the transactions in the sample, with activity being highly concentrated; transactions within 8 days comprised 94.5% of all recorded payments.
