Binance Users are exchanging Ethereum for Bitcoin

CoinMeta data: In September 2026, Binance users added nearly $537 million in Bitcoin holdings, while Ethereum holdings decreased by about $499 million. This data indicates that users may be selling Ethereum to buy Bitcoin. According to Binance data, Bitcoin was the only asset with a significant increase in customer balances in September, with holdings growing by 0.91% to approximately 688,573 BTC, whereas Ethereum balances fell by 4.61%. In addition, customers' holdings of USDT stablecoins decreased by 0.87%, and the value of their own Binance tokens also fell by 0.77%. Despite the pessimistic sentiment towards Ethereum, Wall Street investors continued to buy, including attracting about $850.8 million in funds during Ethereum's ETF at the end of September.
