Oura delays IPO; CEO refers to market uncertainties
2026-10-07 19:43:46
According to CoinMeta, Oura CEO Tom Hale announced on September 29th that it would postpone the company's IPO due to "uncertainty in the IPO market." Previously, Oura planned to sell 50 million shares at a price of $40 to $44 per share, with an expected raise of about $2.1 billion. Analyst Kat Siu pointed out that the valuation of Oura depends on how investors view the company: if it is seen as a digital health platform driven by AI, the valuation may be reasonable; however, if it is only considered as a hardware manufacturer of a single product, then the valuation seems too high. Oura's sales still rely mainly on hardware and face competition from giants such as Apple.
