2026-10-08 02:37:53
According to CoinMeta, Walmart and Wing have announced that they will expand drone delivery services to Seattle and Denver next year, covering nearly 20 major U.S. markets at that time. This expansion is part of a continuous plan by both companies to provide drone delivery from over 270 Walmart stores nationwide. Heather Rivera, the Chief Commercial Officer of Wing, stated that the expansion to new cities demonstrates the rapid acceptance of drone delivery across the country. This partnership has already served more than 3 million customers in markets such as Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta, Houston, and Orlando. Wing also noted that expanding to Seattle and Denver will enable drone services to operate under a wider range of weather conditions. The drones of Wing can reach a top speed of 60 miles per hour and are capable of carrying packages up to five pounds. Customers can order tens of thousands of Walmart products in just minutes, including groceries, electronics, and over-the-counter medications.
