According to CoinMeta, tech companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and AMD are investing over $1 billion in Trump's Genesis Project, providing significant private-sector support for the White House's efforts in artificial intelligence research. Trump is expected to attend tomorrow's AI summit, where the government will announce these commitments as well as over $100 million in federal funding. Trump's scientific initiative is essentially a computing project that primarily involves establishing a new regional computing network connecting 14 institutions across 10 southeastern states. The government is also preparing a separate $1 billion investment in Georgia. The National Computing Project aims to help meet the demands of modern AI research for processors, power, and data center capacity by providing researchers participating in the Genesis Project with $100 million in computing credits.
