According to CoinMeta, the tokenization platform Securitize announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with South Korea’s LG CNS. The two parties will jointly develop tokenized assets and digital asset infrastructure for Korean financial institutions, explore businesses such as tokenized funds, stocks, and stablecoins, and also seek cooperation opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region. The South Korean Financial Services Commission previously proposed rules for tokenized securities, planning to allow the issuance and circulation of stocks, bonds, funds, and other securities in tokenized form starting from February 2027.
