Chromia Proposes to Adjust the Token Economy Model of CHR
2026-10-08 14:56:00
According to CoinMeta, Chromia proposes to adjust the token economy model of CHR. Since the current maximum supply of 978,064,789 CHR has basically reached its peak, the protocol's staking rewards have been halted, and the reward space for node service providers is also nearing exhaustion. The new plan CHR 2.0 intends to remove a fixed cap, instead opting for a daily fixed issuance of 125,000 CHR, which would result in an annual increase of about 45.6 million tokens. Based on the current supply, the inflation rate for the first year is estimated to be around 4.7%, and this rate is expected to decrease annually as the total supply grows.
