2026-10-08 14:56:51
According to CoinMeta, as reported by The Wall Street Journal, Gary Gensler, the chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), stated that the CFTC is proposing the first round of regulatory rules for the crypto industry, covering crypto asset trading and the crypto asset market. The aim is to use existing statutory authorities to establish a federal regulatory framework and listing, trading standards for crypto asset trading platforms. The new framework will provide a unified federal registration path for crypto platforms that wish to be regulated by the CFTC and will allow compliant platforms to offer crypto transactions with margin, leverage, or financing support to retail investors, said Gensler.
