According to CoinMeta, co-founders yuga and labs, along with garga.ETH (from Greg Solano), responded to collector Pranksy who claimed that someone sold a piece of BAYC that could have been worth $500 million for just a few million dollars. Subsequently, this person endorsed any inferior replicas they could find and even launched several of their own NFT projects, all of which were later removed from their profiles. Pranksy previously tweeted that BAYC ruined NFT – a technology with real potential that was regarded around the world as something insignificant, and since then, what has been seen are just copy-pasted projects.
