The US SEC Approves 3x Leverage ETF Involving Bitcoin and Ethereum
2026-10-08 17:34:22
According to CoinMeta, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has just approved a rule change that allows for 3x leverage on funds related to Bitcoin, Ethereum, gold, silver, crude oil, and natural gas. These funds will use regulated futures instead of directly holding the underlying assets. Trading has not yet begun, and the registration statements are still subject to final approval. For Bitcoin and Ethereum, this provides significantly higher leverage exposure through traditional U.S. brokerage accounts.
