2026-10-09 01:25:30
According to CoinMeta, as reported by Coindesk, the Ethereum Glamsterdam upgrade has increased the block size limit on the Sepolia test network from approximately 60 million to nearly 200 million. Developers are testing how to support more payments and transactions with this increased capacity. In the early stages of testing, only 26% to 46% of the block's capacity was utilized. A six-minute voting process generated all the planned blocks, with 99.97% of the eligible staked weights participating in the final determination. This upgrade has adjusted the transaction processing costs and data access costs. The Hoodi test network is scheduled to take place on October 27th, while the mainnet activation date has not yet been determined.
