According to CoinMeta, former Governor of New York State Andrew Cuomo stated during a meeting with OKX CEO Star Xu that the crypto industry overwhelmingly supports the Republican Party in the United States and has distanced itself from the Democratic support required to advance CLARITY Act. During the 2026 electoral cycle, political action committees focused on the crypto industry spent $54.3 million supporting the Republican Party, $26.2 million supporting the Democratic Party, and another $23.2 million opposing the Democrats.
