CoinMeta data: Ripple associated with XRP is profiting from leveraged stock trading, expanding into a market long dominated by banks. Its main brokerage division, Ripple Prime, is providing financing for funds that allow investors to amplify the daily fluctuations of individual stocks and market indices. Ripple entered this business by acquiring the multi-asset brokerage firm Hidden Road for $1.25 billion; this transaction gave it mature operations in clearing trades, financing investments, and handling transactions of stocks, bonds, currencies, and digital assets. There are currently 593 leveraged ETF in the US market, holding over $256 billion in assets. Ripple has also expanded its agreement with hedge fund manager Brevan Howard, and Ripple Prime will as well.
