CoinMeta Data: Researcher from the Ethereum Foundation, Justin Drake, posted on X, calling on the industry to begin planning for what is known as a “refuge mode” to address the potential threats that mathematical advancements driven by AI may pose to the elliptic curve signatures of Bitcoin and Ethereum wallets. He noted that within the past 6 hours, the price of Bitcoin fell from $82,769.65 to around $82,300, before rebounding to about $82,800, which is approximately 4% lower than the high of $86,600 on Tuesday. The __BJWKEEP_100 index has dropped by nearly 2% in the past 24 hours. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated that the accelerating mathematical risks should be taken seriously, but advised holders not to rush to transfer their funds.
