Greece plans to reduce the tax on capital gains from cryptocurrencies to 10%
2026-10-09 04:12:40
According to CoinMeta, Greece plans to impose a 10% capital gains tax on cryptocurrencies, which is lower than the 15% proposed in June. According to the draft released for public consultation, crypto earnings with an annual income not exceeding 500 euros (about $560) will be exempt from tax. Greece currently does not have a comprehensive crypto taxation legal framework. Greek officials stated that the size of the country's crypto market is difficult to estimate, as most investors use overseas platforms. The bill is expected to be submitted to parliament in November.
