CoinMeta data: Over 6 million bitcoins (approximately $83,083.10) are associated with exposed public keys, accounting for 31.2% of the circulating supply. According to CoinMeta data, since May, the amount of exposed bitcoins has increased by 222,000 BTC (about $18.2 billion), while the total supply has only increased by 64,000 BTC. Among the visible public keys held by exchanges, Coinbase has an exposure rate of 10%, Binance has 83%. Fidelity holds about 375,000 BTC, with only 2% exposed; Grayscale has 49%, Revolut has 99%, and Robinhood has 100%. Public keys can become visible through address reuse or specific output types. Ethereum researcher Justin Drake warns that it is possible to find a shortcut to crack wallet encryption within "a few months," ahead of the advent of quantum computers.
